And sorry for the late reply - I don't have a PC or Internet connection at home yet, so I am only able to check in from time to time.
If I am to go the PC option, can you hazard a guess as to the options and expense of software that compares to the Apple package? Or is it just not apples and apples (please excuse the pun and the fact that I am now discussing software instead of hardware).
I do read the greenguide every week and check out whats available hardware-wise, And I think if I were to go for the PC option I would more than likely follow the bleeding edges' quaterly guide. I'm also kind of gun shy when it comes to putting together a PC as I got burnt 12 years back (with an inferior CPU that the retailer had lied about and I was too green to physically check it.) the memory is still painful.
