cinefilm transfer to digital or dvd

This may be a bit too far off-topic for a computer forum, but an Australian website I found advertised on TV recently (dvdinfinity.com.au) is making claims regarding the restoration of Super8 film to digital or DVD that sound somewhat fantastical but not too improbable - it also may be horrendously expensive of course - but for the 45min to 60min of Super8 film that I have from the early 1970s it may be worth the one-time outlay. However not being technically-savvy in this area, I have no way of testing the veracity of their claims.

I have googled the various scenarios outlined in their website propaganda relating to other film processors, & it appears that their claims are correct as far as I can tell within my limited knowledge. Their website layout & design is so amateurish & one of the worst I have encountered, bit of a dog's breakfast really, which seems to belie their claims to professionalism in their area of expertise.

However it could be that they have just no expertise in web design!

As your members have been so kind & helpful with my previous computer queries in these forums, I wondered if anyone has any information regarding this Australian business that would reassure me as to their bona-fides?

Hi telco2005,
I can explain how you can do it yourself if you still have your projector.

You will need a mirror, some architect's paper,fitted to a frame ( say a picture frame) Set up the projector facing the mirror .

Turn on the loaded machine so that the image shows in the mirror.

The mirror should be moved around in it's position until the image is showing on the back of the paper.

Look to see how much image is showing on the paper from the side facing away from the projector.

Move until image fills the screen.

Now you will need someone to help adjust the focus of the picture.

You can now set up your video camera and start transfer of your film to video.By videoing the image on the paper facing you.

There is a program in windows to record your efforts to the form you want.

Also a browse will possibly find a free program that will let you edit you effort
