Wireless Music

Postby Jabba208 » Wed Dec 07, 2005 5:34 pm

I have stored a lot of music files on my laptop using I-Tunes, is there a piece of Hardware that I could connect to my HiFi that would let me send the music from my laptop wirelessly. If so what would this device be called and how good is the quality??

You might have a look at the Squeezebox, at streetwise.com.au.

If you have other wireless transmission going on, such as a wireless LAN, you may experience interference. I tried using a wireless link between my Foxtel box and a remote TV but the reception was marred for the reason described. In my case, Dick Smith were happy to give me my money back. They knew about the problem, which begs the question.. why didn't they ask me if I had a wireless LAN before they sold me the repeater?

I had a look at the SqeezeBox (thanks for the advice), its very impessive but at $500 it might be a bit elaborate for my needs, are there any simpler versions available?
