A new face... errr... or something

Nope, it's not Charles, the Official Bleeding Edge Toad, here. It's Jeremy Howard, FastMail.FM founder, gadget-obsessed technophile, and now... opinionated Bleeding Edge Toadlet.

I'm always nagging Charles to write about the latest gadget I'm playing with; he's now found the perfect way to keep me quiet, which is to let me write about them myself! You can see which entries are written by me, by simply looking at the "Posted by" right under this here sentence...

Good to hear the half (other fraction) of the "we" that Charles is always saying.
Just on the "by simply looking at the "Posted by" right under this here sentence...", thats great if I come to the blog, I am fine because my RSS Aggregator sees the author, but what about those that read the posts via RSS?

TIA
Molly

I don't think I'm nearly such a substantive fraction as a half. In fact, I believe the 'we' was the royal plural, and not actually indicative of any extra toads.

Hopefully those that use RSS to read the posts will be able to figure out where the Author tag resides. I wonder what % of bleeblog readers use RSS vs the web page - I'm sure the Chief Toad could tell by checking the logs...

I'm going to have to be very watchful of these toadlings. In fact the "we" does to some extent reflect the fact that there are several people whose orbit takes them within the confines of the Bleeding Edge cave, and their experiences often reflect the content of the column. All the writing is done by CW, but some of the fact-checking is done by others ... principally Matt.

The point about RSS readers is a good one. What if Jeremy ends his posts with a "- JH"?

Are there many RSS readers that don't show the author? The ones I know of all do.

I couldn't give you an example of one at this time, and my current one does, but I know there are some that don't.

Best of luck.
